Dynamic Pilates

Developed by Joseph Pilates and brought to the United States in the 1920’s primarily to help injured dancers, Pilates is a whole body exercise modality. Pilates emphasises the development of deep core strength, followed by areas that a typical yoga practise may overlook - including the back, gluteal and hamstring muscles. Pilates allows for repetitive movements, and can be a very demanding practice and a perfect complement to a dynamic Yoga practice and Callisthenics.

Vajrasati Yoga

Vajrasati Yoga (VS Yoga) most often takes the form of a straightforward Modern Postural Yoga class i.e. body work. Interwoven into the fabric of the MPY asanas is the spirit of the yoga movement as it has come down to us through its various influences such as Tantra, Raja, Advaita Vedanta and Buddhism. This is done through the tone of the relationship we have with the practice and through the central premise embodied in the word yoga itself; that the isolation of breath, body, mind, heart, energy is simply a convention which covers a more obvious truth that each of these elements are inseparable parts of one whole experience that has at its heart freedom, joy, wisdom, and bliss. We encourage non violence (ahimasa), honesty (satya), investigation (svadyaya) as well as using a sense of trust (ishvara pranidhana), or letting go, to find a deeper intuitive connection (yoga) to what we do. The classes integrate movement, breath, philosophy and humour in a way that leaves you feeling lighter, refreshed and revitalised. Vajrasati Yoga was founded by Jim Tarran in 2000 and is a Yoga Alliance 500 RYS

HIIT starts out with a mobility warmup and finishes with a cool down yoga flow. Typical HIIT classes include Tabata (20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest, 8 times) or an Accumulator (exercises that accumulate over time), and are known to improve athletic capacity and glucose metabolism, leading to increased endurance and a higher caloric burn than running on a treadmill.

Prop Circuits

Circuits is a strength-based muscle building class that targets your entire body. While the class typically starts off with a mobility warmup and finishes with a cool down yoga flow, the main portion of the class focuses on a circuit involving body weight, resistance bands, kettle bells, TRX, and more.
